About

iPS Cell-Derived Exosome Infusion

Our bodies are constantly working to repair themselves. Over time, however, the effects of injury, fatigue, stress, and aging cause cells to gradually accumulate damage. In younger years, cells communicate quickly with one another, sending out signals to initiate repair. As we age, this communication weakens and the body's repair responses begin to slow down.

iPS Exosome Therapy is a regenerative treatment designed to harness this natural cell-to-cell communication to support the body's repair processes. The exosomes used in this therapy are extracted and purified from cells cultured from human tissues such as adipose (fat) and bone marrow. By supplementing the body with exosomes from the outside, this therapy is believed to have the potential to enhance intercellular communication and support overall cell function.

Among the options available, iPS Exosome Therapy — derived from iPS cells (induced pluripotent stem cells) — is attracting considerable attention as a next-generation choice in regenerative medicine. iPS cells are created through a specialized process of reprogramming ordinary cells back to an earlier state. The exosomes derived from these cells are of high purity and are thought to have the potential to play a role in maintaining and regulating the cellular environment.

Why iPS Cells?

In 2006, Professor Shinya Yamanaka of Kyoto University made a landmark discovery: by introducing specific genes into already-differentiated somatic cells — cells with fixed, defined roles — it was possible to revert them to a state where they could once again become any type of cell. This was the birth of iPS cells (induced pluripotent stem cells), a breakthrough that dramatically expanded the possibilities of regenerative medicine research. In exosome therapy, the condition of the cells that produce the exosomes is considered a critical factor in determining their quality.

This discovery made it possible to create young cells again, greatly expanding the potential of regenerative medicine. In exosome therapy, the quality of the cells that produce exosomes is a crucial factor that influences the outcome.

Conventional Exosomes

The quality of exosomes is believed to be directly influenced by the state of the cells that produce them. As cells age, the exosomes they generate may undergo changes in their ability to facilitate intercellular communication. In other words, exosome quality is closely tied to the condition of the cell it comes from.

iPS Cell-Derived
Exosomes

By applying Professor Yamanaka’s technology, cells can be brought back to a state close to their original, reprogrammed form. This approach has attracted significant attention for its potential to continuously produce exosomes with high purity and strong activity, offering meaningful support for cellular repair and regeneration.

iPS Cell-Derived Exosome Infusion's Benefits
01
Addressing a Wide Range of Symptoms
iPS Exosome Therapy is hoped to offer an approach to a broad range of symptoms associated with aging and stress, including joint discomfort, loss of skin firmness, and chronic fatigue.
02
Potential to Support Cellular Repair and Regeneration
iPS cell-derived exosomes are considered to potentially support the repair and regeneration of cells whose function has declined due to aging.

The exosomes produced from there consistently deliver a high level of repair effectiveness.
03
Flexible Administration Options
iPS Exosomes may offer certain benefits when administered on their own in some cases. At our clinic, we also propose treatment plans that may incorporate combination therapies based on each patient's symptoms and goals.

Our physicians will explain the treatment direction based on clinical evaluation and test results, guided by scientific evidence.※Results may vary between individuals.

The iPS Exosomes Used at YR Clinic
Our treatment
At YR Clinic, we use exosomes derived from iPS cells rather than mesenchymal stem cells (MSC). Rather than transplanting cells directly, this approach leverages the active components contained within exosomes, with the aim of potentially supporting intercellular communication and contributing to the maintenance of the body's overall condition.
Point 01
High Purity, High Concentration
iPS Exosomes
Through the removal of impurities and waste matter, combined with concentration processing, we achieve approximately 20 billion particles per vial. This may offer greater efficacy compared to standard products in some cases.
Point 02
Pharmaceutical-Grade Quality Control
Manufactured at a facility licensed for the processing of specified cell products, our exosomes meet inspection standards equivalent to those of pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, in compliance with national safety standards.
Point 03
High Purity iPS Cell-Derived Exosomes
Source cells used are regenerative medicine-grade iPS cells from a woman in her 20s. The exosomes obtained from these initialised (reprogrammed) cells are of high purity, and are expected to contribute to supporting cellular repair and regeneration.

Methods of Administration at YR Clinic

01 Intra-Articular Injection

By delivering exosomes directly to inflamed or damaged areas, efficient repair can be promoted.

02 IV Drip Therapy

This approach can support both skin-related and joint-related concerns by circulating exosomes throughout the body.

03 Mesogun U225 Delivery (Full Face / Scalp)

Using the precision electric injection device Mesogun U225, exosomes are delivered evenly into the full face and scalp, helping active ingredients reach deeper skin and follicle layers to support firmness, elasticity, radiance, and healthier hair quality.

Please refer to the Mesogun U225 product page for details.

Treatment overview
iPS Cell-Derived Exosome Infusion
【Treatment Overview】
This treatment uses exosomes generated from iPS cells, administered via intravenous infusion, joint injection, or through the Mesogun (U225) device. As exosomes act as messengers for intercellular communication, this treatment is intended to provide supplementary support for related tissue maintenance processes.
【Treatment Duration & Frequency】
- Intravenous Drip: Approximately 1 hour per session.
- Joint Injection: Approximately 30 minutes per session.
The number of sessions and the interval between them will be determined in consultation with your physician.
※The degree of effects and side effects may vary between individuals. Please consult with our physicians for a thorough explanation before considering treatment.
【Key Risks & Side Effects】
Pain or swelling may occur at the injection site, though this typically improves within a few days. In rare cases, patients may experience a temporary warm sensation or fatigue; these symptoms are generally mild and tend to resolve within one to two days.
※In most cases, these effects ease within a few hours to a few days. Should any changes in physical condition occur, our specialist physicians are available to provide appropriate care as needed.※Regarding iPS Cell-Derived Exosomes
